Introduction To Venetian Goblet Making

This is a seasonal 4 week class covering the foundations of Venetian Goblet Making. You must have attended our Foundations of Venetian Glassblowing class or have basic glassblowing experience and be able to make a simple cup on your own.
This class will cover the fundamentals of furnace glassblowing in a team setting, allowing participants to practice independently in our studio. At the end of the class you will have developed the basic skills to make a 2-3 part goblet, and be ready to take things to the next level on your own. If you have an interest in goblets and wineglasses, this class will be a great introduction.
There are 4 weekly Saturday sessions to attend (10am-1pm):
- 1 Aug 2026 – Mereses and Blown Feet
- 8 Aug 2026 – Opening The Foot
- 15 Aug 2026 – Knobs and Stems
- 22 Aug 2026 – Opening and Breaking Off
You get 1 complimentary Furnace Practice slot per week, subject to availability (most likely on weekdays).
Registration closes 15 July 2026. We require at least 2 students to start the class.
