Tsuiki Cup

Tsuiki is the Japanese art of raising vessels by hammering sheets of metal. This class is a great introduction to the basic of copper hammering and suitable for anyone with a keen interest in making vessels from soft metals such as aluminium, copper and silver.

Over the course of 6 hours, you will make a simple copper cup that will allow you to learn the basics of raising vessels and copper finishing techniques such as tinning and patina colouring.

Copper as a material is a reactive metal and needs to be lined with food-grade tin in order to be used for drinking.
