Forge A Chef’s Knife


The chef’s knife should be every beginner’s first project. Learn the how to forge tapers, tips and knife profiles that are the foundation for more complex knife builds.

Cover hot forging, hardening, tempering and polishing in an intense 3 hour class. The material used is 1050C, which is a medium carbon steel that will be oil quenched to produce a perfect balance of strength and toughness. After you’ve attempted this, your next step would be the extended knife making class where you get to try higher quality steels to attempt more challenging designs and heat treatments.

Class Starts at 10AM or 2PM and runs for 3 hours.

You will bring home your very own knife at the end of the session!

This class only allows 1 student per knife, but visitors are allowed to accompany their loved ones for photo taking!
