Jatoba, also known as Brazilian Cherry, is an exceptionally hard and stable wood, with incredible wear properties similar to wenge and some ebonies/rosewoods. Obviously not a beginners wood, due to it abrasion resistance and brittleness. However, with patience, Jatoba is a great fingerboard wood or can be used as high traffic installations such as counter tops.
